When it comes to fence line laws and type of fencing used, can you put the low impedance electric tape fence on the property line, or can you put it a couple of inches from the property line? I would like to use as much of my property as possible, so I would like to get it right on the line if possible. Also, can you use this on the line if you don't electrify the tape? My horses respect the tape, without electrifying it, so I can put it almost anywhere. I live in Clermont County, so the fence line laws may vary by county. Thanks for your assistance, and I look forward to your response. Denise
Thank you for your email. Your best bet to be sure you are in compliance with the zoning in your area is to call your county office. Some areas have exceptions to zoning and ordinances that state what can and cannot be done on your property. So it is best to check with them before you install anything.
You know your horses well, but I always say keep electric on. It only takes one accident, one time, and you cannot take back what happened. I have seen the heartache of horse accidents from both the side of the owner and the people involved with the accident. Trust me, it's better to keep your electric fence on. If I can help you with any further questions, just let me know.Debbie
