Installing fence rails on the interior side of your posts provides enhanced strength for your horses. With continuous run fence systems such as Flex, Raceline, Shockline, braid, and tape, there are no individual rails affixed to the posts as seen in traditional board fencing. The continuous rail functions similarly to a belt threaded through a loop, ensuring there are no interruptions in the fencing line. When horses lean against the rails positioned inside the posts, they are supported directly by the posts, resulting in a more robust structure for equine safety.

While fence rails on the exterior of posts may offer a more visually appealing appearance, it is recommended you position them on the inside. When constructing your fence around corners, it is recommended that the corner post be set back, positioned within the string line. This allows the rail to transition from the inside of the line posts to the outside of the corner post, forming a 90-degree angle.
