  • Gate Length Compatibility: Works with gates up to 20′ in length
  • Fence Compatibility: Works with all electric fences
  • Post Compatibility: Wood

Not Included: 4 screws (or nails) are required for installation but are not included.

Installation: This kit is installed on wood posts and is designed to touch the ground when the gate is open. When the gate handle is inserted into the hole on the plate the bungee gate is electrified. When the handle is removed, the bungee gate is not electrified.

Measure the length of your gate opening. If it is less than 20′ loosen the rope splices using a screwdriver and pull more of the bungee cord around the pin lock insulator. When you have reached the correct length reinstall the rope splice using the same screwdriver.

The pin-lock insulator has two holes, one at the top and one at the bottom. Screw the pin-lock insulator to the wood post at both the top and bottom on one side of the gate opening. On the other wood post, screw the second pin-lock Insulator with the bungee cord and gate handle attached in the same manner.

The gate handle and hook catch plate are the power connection. Run your power from your fence charger using insulated burial wire to the split bolt in the plate. Simply unscrew the nut on the split bolt in the plate and install the insulated wire and screw the nut back onto the split bolt. Power is now provided to the split bolt and plate. The installation of your bungee gate kit is now complete.

OPTIONAL*
If you do not want the gate handle and bungee cord to fall to the ground when the gate is open, you can install a secondary wood post in the gate opening. You then screw the ring insulator into the secondary wood post. You will need to disconnect the rope splice and remove the bungee cord from the pin-lock insulator and slide the bungee rope through the ring insulator. Reinstall the bungee cord around the pin-lock insulator and the rope splice. When you disconnect the gate handle from the plate on the gate handle hook up the bungee will only retract to the ring insulator and will not fall to the ground.
