Drying Time:

At approximately 77°F and 50% relative humidity:

• Fully Dry: Approximately 24 hours

Drying time may vary based on temperature, humidity, rain, and dew. Do not apply if rain is expected within eight hours.

Recommended Film Thickness:

• Wet Film per Coat: 6–10 mils

Application Guidelines:

• Mix thoroughly before and during application.
• Thinning is not normally required.
• If necessary, thin with no more than 4 fluid ounces of water per gallon.
• Apply only when the air and surface temperatures are above 50°F.
• Allow new wood to weather for 1–3 months before painting.
• Wood moisture content should be below 15%.
• Apply by brush, roller, or airless sprayer.
• Use a 7″ thick-nap roller for roller applications.
• Do not paint the underside of fence planks.
• Protect the product from freezing.
• The dried coating may remain slightly soft or tacky because of its flexible formulation.

Airless Spray Recommendations:

Surface Preparation:

For maximum durability, surfaces must be clean, dry, and properly prepared. Scrape or pressure wash thoroughly to remove dirt, debris, and all loose, peeling, or flaking paint. Allow the surface to dry completely before application. Farm Pro Red does not prevent rust, so bare, previously rusted, or rust-prone metal should receive an appropriate rust-inhibiting primer before painting.

One specification needs verification: the supplied information lists barn coverage as both 250 square feet and 300 square feet per gallon. I used the more conservative 250-square-foot figure until the correct coverage can be confirmed.
