This convenient feed plate allows you to slide hay or grain directly into the stall from the barn aisle. Because you never have to open the stall door or carry heavy buckets inside, it is an incredibly efficient, time-saving solution for busy barn owners.
By eliminating the need to enter the stall during feeding, this kit is also a major safety upgrade. It is highly recommended if you rely on farm sitters, hired hands, or children to help with your daily chores. Because it prevents direct contact with the horse during mealtime, it drastically reduces the risk of accidental crowding or injuries.
Built to withstand the toughest barn environments, the feed plate features a heavy-duty Galvalume finish. This provides maximum, long-lasting rust resistance against stall moisture and humidity. The kit includes the feed plate, four zinc-plated self-drilling screws, two 7/8″ bar grommets, and two 1-3/8″ bar hole plugs so you can finish the frame cleanly.
Please note: Grill bars are not included. You will simply need to cut two of your existing stall grill bars to accommodate the new opening.

Derby Stall Installation Instructions
Installation: Decide where the feed opening is going to be located. Cut two stall grill bars to the desired length (bars cut to 22” will give you approximately a 12” opening). Slide the feed opening plate over the two outer bars of the opening. Let the feed opening plate rest on the bottom grill channel. Insert the two cut stall grill bars in the top grill channel and slide the feed opening plate up – until it is tight with the two cut bars. Use the four supplied hex head self-drillers to hold the feed opening plate in place through holes in the feed opening plate.
