Essex feed openings are an economical way to feed your horses from the outside of their stalls. This replacement feed opening plate does not include hardware for installation.

Installation: Decide where you want the feed opening to be located. Cut two of your 3/4″ horse stall grill bars to the desired length (bars cut to 22″ will give you approximately a 12″ opening). Slide the feed opening plate over the two outer bars of the opening and let it rest on the bottom grill channel. Insert the two cut bars into the top grill channel and slide the feed opening up until it is tight. Lastly, use the 8-18 x 3/4″ hex hard self-drilling screws to hold the feed opening plate in place through the holes in the feed opening plate.
