By creating a durable, flexible buffer between the inner guide post and the outer filler bar, they help eliminate noisy metal-on-metal rattling and ensure your latch system operates smoothly and quietly every single day.
For a proper and highly functional installation, two neoprene o-rings are required per guide post. The installation process is incredibly straightforward: simply slide the o-rings directly over the guide post before tapping the filler bar down over them. To achieve perfect alignment and optimal tension, position the first o-ring approximately 1″ from the bottom of the post, and position the second o-ring about 1/2″ from the top.
